BEST BET 🏆
Race 7 No. 9 ZUFASTA – ($12)
Gifford Hill looks like the sort of track to suit ZUFASTA who is the horse we want to follow this prep. 1000 metres may be short of his pet trip; however, Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle have found an ideal race to launch off. Zufasta is one of those hard-doing types who just wants to give 110% every time he gets out there. He was ultra-impressive in the way he changed speed back to the inside before opening up for a big win at Morphettville prior to his spell. Trialed up nicely about a month ago with a few others we can follow in Klabel and Dual Fuel. Richards and Moyle tipped Zufasta out in winning form and we’ve been waiting somewhat impatiently for his return.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 3 No. 4 GLENTANEOUS – ($3.20)
Australian Bloodstock can take a big step forward in launching their Adelaide Cup bid with GLENTANEOUS. The British import has gradually improved with each run out to a trip while striking firm tracks here in Australia. Found another Good 4 rated surface as Blake Shinn allowed Glentaneous to find his feet early during his latest run. This was in a Benchmark 78 on the Sandown Hillside over 2400m. Glentaneous continued to build into his stride up the long straight to finish amongst the placings. The lightly raced stayer looks a genuine Gifford Hill type who will appreciate the trip as he finds another Good rated track on his way to bigger races.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 8 No. 1 TRUMPSTA – ($13)
Like all good stables, you can always pick the Stokes horse in the yard; they just go for a certain type or leave a stamp on the horses they touch. TRUMPSTA is one such typical Stokes campaigner who is strongly built while coming to hand quickly and is a proven weight carrier. He was the horse who bucked the on-pace trend while tracking wide from the back to score second-up on the Parks track recently. Tommy has handed the reins to former stable apprentice Gary Lo who makes his way back to Morphettville.
