BEST BET 🏆
Race 4: No.4 ICONIC DAME
The Jamie Stewart-trained ICONIC DAME maybe be Moruya-based but she is unbeaten on this track and looks set to remain that way after this contest has been decided. Last start, the Nicconi mare came off an improved effort where she ran third in Open company on her home track when she ploughed through heavy conditions and beat home similar company over 1200m, also at Moruya. She clocked 1:10 for that run which was an impressive time for the 1200m on a Heavy 8 that day. Jean Van Overmeire was aboard for both those rides and captains the ship again today. Ideally drawn in gate two here and carrying just 1kg more, she looks the goods here.

Race 3: No.2 EPAULLO CREED
The Nick Olive-trained EPAULLO CREED has led from barrier to box at his past two starts and looks all set to do it again in this contest. Last start, the Epaulette gelding franked his second-up win at Nowra when he was even more convincing when he took out a BM58 over 1210m at Moruya. With Coriah Keatings aboard for her seventh ride on the galloper, she applied the same race tactics as she did at Nowra and despite carrying 2kgs more that day, she steered the six-year-old across the line, almost two lengths clear in the end. He has come back fighting fit and in career best form and will take beating here.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 7: No.7 CRACKALACKA
The Kembla Grange-based CRACKALACKA also boasts a strong record at this track and third-up today looks a tad ‘overs’ in this contest. Last start, the Poet’s Voice mare was slowly away and settled last of the five runners. Always well back, she ran home well but was unable to reel in the leader (Victory At Omaha) who was left alone in front and simply dictated terms that day. The six-year-old needs a couple to find her best after a break and we should see some improvement here. Already a two-time winner when third-up, she also boasts two wins from her three starts on this track and has Molly Bourke back for her 13th ride on the mare (having steered her to victory previously). She is yet to win at the 1600m journey but rock-hard fit after two runs back, she looks well worth an each-way ticket today.
