BEST BET 🏆

Race 2:  No.1  MOSZUR

The David Vandyke-trained MOSZUR has found his mojo and here, looks the best of the day. Last start, the Churchill filly was second-up when she destroyed them in a 1690m Maiden at Ipswich. With Ryan Maloney aboard, she took over at the half-way mark and from there, was never threatened, going on to put almost four lengths on the field over the line. Today, apprentice, Cody Collis is the new pilot and after the 2kg claim, fares well at the weights. A trouble-free run here should see the filly go back-to-back today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.3  GALAXY GENERAL

The Lee Freedman-trained GALAXY GENERAL is in good touch this time in and third-up today, looks a great chance of taking out this contest. Last start, the Zoustar gelding took home third prize in a BM65, here on the synthetic track over 1100m. He box-seated most of the way but just couldn’t match it with Suart Kendricks front-running pair who controlled everything from the outset, including the outcome. Meeting similar company today, he gets all the favours from gate one with Boris Thornton as the new pilot. Already a winner when third-up and a synthetic track specialist with three wins on the surface against his name to date, he looks a solid winning chance here and well worth an each-way ticket today.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.6  JOVIAL KID

The Kris Lees-trained JOVIAL KID is having his third race start today and looks poised for back-to-back victories here. Last start, the Zoustar gelding improved many lengths from his debut effort when he broke through in a 1250m Maiden at Kempsey. The stable have locked-in Jim Byrne to steer the ship today where the three-year-old draws gate three and from there, maps to settle better than mid-field with cover. A clear run to the line here should see him figure prominently in the finish today.
