Swan Hill Tips 11/6/2023

BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)

Race 2 No. 3 COSMIC ENIGMA- ($2.05)

Hard to go past COSMIC ENIGMA in Race 2. The Richard Cully-trained galloper has finished runner-up in four of his five career starts and was excellent at Flemington in a $150,000 Saturday race on May 13 when stepping up to the 1600m for the first time, finishing 4th behind Oceans Above. The three-year-old settled back in that race before running on to go 4.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark figures, which is more than seven lengths better than what any other horse in his race has produced in their careers. With John Allen in the saddle, he looks to be the one.

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN)

Race 1 No 6  KUMICHO- ($3.10)

KUMICHO can get the day off to a flyer for us. The five-start maiden has placed at his past two starts and looked home at Donald over the 1000m two starts ago before heading to Kyneton over the 1118m on May 18 and going down late when 3rd behind Mysweetmoses. Drop back to the 975m looks ideal and the son of Street Boss gets the run of the race from barrier 3.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8 No. 4 PACKING WALTHAM- ($4.60)

PACKING WALTHAM stays under notice after a big return at Flemington on May 13. The former HK galloper was fresh off a two-year absence and settled back in the early stages before working home very well to run 3rd behind King Magnus, beaten half a length. He heads up for a crack at the Swan Hill Cup and will strip fitter, while the race should set up nicely with the likes of Keats and Not Usual Glorious to head forward. Stick with him.

BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)

Race 6 No 6 VILLA SEVENTYNINE – ($8)

VILLA SEVENTYNINE is worth thought at the each-way quote in Race 6. The Wendy Kelly-trained galloper worked home well for 3rd in a strong form race at Pakenham three starts ago before he claimed his Maiden at Bairnsdale. At his most recent start, the three-year-old headed to Flemington and was held up as they cornered before working home well from the rear for 6th, beaten just over two lengths by Euphoric. He comes back to a country level and went 7.9 lengths faster than standard benchmark at his last start, which is six lengths better than the next best figures of any runner.
