BEST BET 🏆
Race 6: No.7 DIN ($5.50 with Unibet)
Another from the Brett Robb stable here is DIN who is in sensational form this preparation and looks well placed here to go on with it today. Last start, the Xtravagant mare came off a big maiden win (5 lengths) when she faced her first Class 1 contest and wasn’t disgraced when finishing third in the 1100m contest, beaten two lengths on the line. Clay Gallagher had his second ride on the mare that day and is sticking with her for this assignment. She maps to settle mid-field from gate ten and with a clear run to the line, she can give this contest a real shake.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 5: No.1 REJINKSY ($6.50 with Palmerbet)
Gosford galloper REJINSKY resumes today off a lengthy eight months away from racing and boasting a strong fresh record, could make his Dubbo debut a winning one. Last preparation, the Redoute’s Choice gelding joined the Jake Hill stable and had just the one start, finishing fifth in a BM72 Hcp over 1000m at Warwick Farm. Beaten just two lengths on the line, he covered that trip, 2.6 lengths quicker than benchmark, setting a new personal best and the best last-start effort here by more than 10 lengths. Since then, he has won and placed in two recent trials and looks ready to go here. He lines-up the top rated in the field (72) and has 63.5kgs to carry, but he is already a three-time winner when first-up and has saluted just as many times over the 1000m sprint. Kody Nestor rode him at his most recent trial and has his first race-ride on him here. Nicely drawn in gate five, he maps to settle in the first half-dozen and with a trouble-free today, he looks right in the mix.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 3: No.9 SEA PRINCESS ($9.60 with BoomBet)
Locally-trained by Brett Robb, SEA PRINCESS is three starts into this preparation and today has conditions to suit for a big effort here. Last start, the Sebring mare was up against it from the outset when she failed to fire in a BM58 over 1300m at Parkes. Allocated 60.5kgs, she drew the car park at the gates (13 of 14) and was never on the track, travelling four deep to the turn. She fought on gamely in the run home but had nothing left inside the last 200m. She is stepping-up in grade today but drops 5kgs and gets all the favours at the barrier as she jumps from gate two today. She is already a two-time winner at the trip and Clay Gallagher sticks with her as well. With all this going for her, she looks well worth an each-way ticket today.
