Race 5:  No.1  O’TYCOON

Another from the Bjorn Baker Team is O’TYCOON who is high-flying after two starts back and lines up here a definite winning chance today. Last start, the Written Tycoon gelding went one better than his first-up effort when he arrived just in time to claim victory in a BM64 over 1100m at Wyong. Molly Bourke has been booked for the ride today and after her claim, the four-year-old carries 60kgs, which he carried to victory last start. He maps to settle mid-field from gate seven and with a clear run home, he can give this a real shake. Already a track and distance winner, he should be near his peak today.

Race 3:  No.7  BONITA QUEEN 

The Bjorn Baker-trained BONITA QUEEN is third-up today and looks set for back-to-back victories here. Last start, the instructions were to ride the I Am Invincible filly further forward and it paid immediate results when she destroyed her maiden rivals over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Leading from barrier to box and with Adam Hyeronimus on board for the first time, she gave them something to chase in the run home as she crossed the line four lengths clear. Hyeronimus sticks with her here as she draws ideally in gate two and on that maiden performance, she will take catching again.

Race 7:  No.4  WILLAIDOW 

In line for five-straight today, the Marc Connors-trained WILLAIDOW ticks all the boxes here that suggest he is tad overs for this contest and will take beating. Last start, the Shamus Award gelding made it two from two this preparation when he was well backed and didn’t disappoint, winning a BM72 Hcp over 1200m at Rosehill. Ridden a treat by regular rider Deanne Panya, he led from barrier rise but was forced to do it one off the fence. On straightening, Panya let him go and he scooted away and although tiring near the line, still hung on to win by a length, running the 1200m in a brisk 1:09.3. Already a track and distance winner, he draws ideally in gate two and will most likely lead today. Fitter for two runs back, Panya is in control again (having ridden him to all four career wins to date) and she stated yesterday “he looks amazing”. Left alone in front to dictate terms today, he can take this out.
