Race 7 No. 7 JUNGLE JIM- ($3.50) 

The feature of the evening is the Abell Stakes and JUNGLE JIM should be hard to beat. The six-year-old comes in with some excellent summer form and ran quick time at the track and trip earlier this preparation when a narrow runner-up behind Pink Beau Ty before winning well at Flemington in consecutive races. He stuck on well over the 1100m at his most recent start when 4th behind Rey Magnerio at Caulfield. A winner of six from 12 at the distance, he is likely to take a forward spot early on and has been a noted firmer in the early betting. 

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 5 No. 2 AIMING- ($4.85) 

AIMING might be worth sticking with in Race 5 of the evening at Moonee Valley. The Ciaron Maher-trained mare was around the mark in BenchMark 70 races and tackled the 1800m two starts ago before just fading late to run 4th. Last time out she settled just off the speed when strong through the line at Sandown over the 1600m, going 6.4 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is nearly seven lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. The daughter of Maurice is full of fitness and can box seat from barrier 3 with John Allen to ride.
