BEST BET 🏆

Race 10:  No.13  WHINCHAT

Unbeaten this time in, WHINCHAT looks well at the weights here and although up in class, looks set to give this contest a real shake. Last start, the Russian Revolution gelding came off a big win in BM72 company on the Kensington track when he franked that effort by going back-to-back, here in a stronger BM88 Hcp. Jay Ford was aboard for both of those runs and remains the pilot for this assignment. He has the outside gate to contend with but most of the other well-fancied runners have also drawn wide so the scene is set fair. The four-year-old is progressing well through the grades, having won half of his ten career-starts to date, and he looks a serious contender in this field as well.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 9:  No.3  OLENTIA

Chris Waller and Tommy Berry team-up here as well with OLENTIA who is second-up and ticks all the right boxes that suggest she can ring-up career-win number six in this contest. Last start, the Zoustar mare resumed off a 16-week spell when she beat all but one home in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes, here over 1200m. She finished less than half a length from victory with jockey, Tommy Berry firing in a protest but it was dismissed in the end. The four-year-old gets her chance to atone here and already a two-time winner when second-up, she looks in the mix in this event.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.10  LOUISVILLE

The Chris Waller-trained LOUISVILLE has been in great touch this time in and looks well placed here to bounce back and take this contest out. Last start, the Redwood gelding drop back sharply in distance and was unable to adjust, finishing unplaced in the BM88 Hcp, here over 1600m. he was beaten just 1.5 lengths that day by Redstone Well and meets that galloper 2.5kgs better here. He has the outside gate but will settle back in the field anyway and has Tommy Berry back as the pilot. His consistency rings true with a resume that reads 14 starts for 12 top-three finishes. The extra distance is ideal here and he can figure in this event.
