Chris Waller saddles-up three here as we run with LOUISVILLE who looks the more likely to salute in this contest. Last start, the Redwood gelding made it a hat-trick of runner-up finishes when he beat all but one home in a BM78 over the mile at Randwick. Now four starts into this preparation, Sam Clipperton is the new pilot and gets all the favours as he jumps from gate one here. Both career wins have come on dry tracks so the forecast Good 4 for Saturday looks ideal for him. A trouble-free run should see him fighting out the finish here.

Race 9:  No.8  BOSTON ROCKS  ($2.35 with Ladbrokes) 

The Nathan Doyle-trained BOSTON ROCKS is high flying of late and looks the one to beat in this contest. Last start, the Hellbent gelding was fresh off a 16-week spell when he finished best to take out a BM72 over 1100m at Randwick. Box-seating from the outset, Tim Clark rode him a treat and in the run home, proved too strong in the end, ringing-up win number three in the process. Tom Sherry has the reins here and from gate four, maps to (possibly) be box-seating again on settling. Already a winner when second-up and at the 1200m, he looks well in contention for another victory here.

Race 4:  No.2  GALLANT STAR  ($3.80 with bet365)

The Dubbo-based GALLANT STAR is yet to miss a podium finish after seven career-starts and looks set to keep that trend going in this contest. Last start, the Zoustar gelding was second-up this preparation when he proved too good for them in a Class 3 Hcp over 1200m at Randwick. Sam Clipperton has been aboard for both runs this time in and sticks with the four-year-old for this assignment. Fitter for two runs back, the 1300m looks ideal for him now and he will take beating.
